Gunmen kill 2, burn buildings at Goniri village in Yobe

The Yobe State Police Command said on Wednesday in Damaturu that two persons were killed by unknown gunmen on Tuesday in Goniri Village, near Damaturu.
The command's Public Relations Officer, Mr Toyin Gbadegeshin, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that ''the deceased persons, Modu Bura,30, and Ahmadu Ali, 39, were killed in their residences in Goniri Village.
''A block of buildings at the Marori Primary School, a Lower Sharia Court and a collapsed police out-station all in Goniri were also burnt by the suspected assailants,'' he said.
Meanwhile, fresh gunshots were heard along Gashua and Gujbaroads roads in Damaturu on Wednesday.
