Need To Know: Do you know what you're eating? Ne yediğinizi biliyor musunuz?

Liga - Barca boss: Bale price tag shows 'lack of respect to the world'

Real Madrid's bid to land Gareth Bale from Tottenham Hotspur for a world record fee in the region of 100 million euros (£85m) is out of place in the current economic climate, Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino said on Saturday.

"Bale's a very good player," the Argentine told a news conference when asked about Real's pursuit of the Welsh winger.
"The numbers are lack of respect to the world in general."
Barca, Real's arch-rivals, splashed 57m euros (£49m) on their major signing of the close season to date, Brazil forward Neymar.
Nine-times European Cup winners Real appear to be close to securing the signature of Bale with local media reporting that after weeks of negotiations an agreement has been reached with Spurs, pending a final confirmation.
The player is expected to be presented next week - probably after Real's next league match away to Granada on Monday evening.
Champions Barca travel to play Malaga on Sunday, but will do so without World Player of the YearLionel Messi, who is recovering from a bruised left thigh.
The Argentine struggled with injury at the end of last season and concerns have been raised that his latest setback, when he was substituted at halftime in the Spanish Super Cup first leg on Wednesday, was a recurrence of a hamstring problem.
"Honestly, I am not worried (about Messi) because I think he is fine," said Martino, who indicated it was purely precautionary.
"He has been fine since day one and he has been working during his holiday. He got here fit and he has been training every day.
"What happened the other day was coincidence. I think it is totally unnecessary to take risks at the start of the season."
Barca drew 1-1 away to Copa del Rey winners Atletico Madrid in the Super Cup first leg, and host the return leg on Wednesday bidding for the first piece of silverware of the new season.
In Messi's absence, Martino was asked if Neymar would be given his first competitive start for the club, after having gained a confidence boost heading the equaliser off the bench against Atletico.
"I don't share this idea that says that Neymar must take over and take the lead if Messi is not there to do it," said Martino, who has called for patience to let the 21-year-old find his feet in La Liga.
"We have Xavi, we have Andres Iniesta, Cesc Fabregas, Alexis Sanchez, Pedro. There are too many players to expect Neymar to automatically be in the starting line up.
"Nothing is going to shorten the time we think is necessary for Neymar to be ready."
Joining Messi in the treatment room will be Barca's Netherlands international Ibrahim Afellay who had surgery on a thigh muscle problem on Thursday, and who will be out of action for around four months.

Sinkhole: Trees Swallowed In Louisiana

Images of trees and land being swallowed up in less than a minute by a giant sinkhole in Louisiana have been caught on video.
The dramatic footage shows tall trees slightly leaning at first, then quickly receding below the surface amid currents.
The footage was posted on the Assumption Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness blog.
It was shot by a parish official.
The Assumption Parish sinkhole near Bayou Corne has been swallowing land since it appeared in August last year.
It had been in a dormant period before it picked up activity.
Officials say the 24-acre opening in the earth is growing.
"The sinkhole continues to be active and grow," OEP Director John Boudreaux said.
Boudreaux added that homes are not in danger, and they are updating people who live near the sinkhole often.

Yosemite Fire 2013: State Of Emergency Declared For San Francisco By Gov. Jerry Brown

FRESNO, Calif. — A giant wildfire raging out of control grew to nearly 200 square miles Friday and spread into Yosemite National Park at the height of the summer season for one of California's most popular tourist destinations.
While it has closed some backcountry hiking, it was not threatening the Yosemite Valley, home to such iconic sights as the Half Dome and El Capitan rock formations and Bridalveil and Yosemite falls.
But in an unusual move, Gov. Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency for San Francisco 150 miles away because of the threat to the city's utilities.
The blaze had already done some damage and threatened more to the lines and stations that pipe power to San Francisco, so Brown, who had declared an emergency for the fire area earlier in the week, made the unusual move of extending it to the city across the state.
San Francisco gets 85 percent of its water from the Yosemite-area Hetch Hetchy reservoir that is about 4 miles from the fire, though that had yet to be affected. But it was forced to shut down two of its three hydroelectric power stations in the area.
The city has so far been able to buy power on the open market and use existing supplies, but further disruptions or damage could have an effect, according to city power officials and the governor's statement.
The declaration frees funding and resources to help the city and makes it eligible for more federal funds to help with power shortages and outages or water problems.
The weeklong blaze on the timbered slopes of the Western Sierra Nevada has spread to 196 square miles and was only 5 percent contained. It continued to grow in several directions, although "most of the fire activity is pushing to the east right into Yosemite," said Daniel Berlant, spokesman for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
Smoke blowing across the Sierra into the state of Nevada forced officials in several counties to cancel outdoor school activities and issue health advisories, especially for people with respiratory problems.

More Bad News For Lady Gaga

Billboard & Lady Gaga: Bill Werde Speaks Out On Singer Commissioning 'Applause' Views

With the release of her new single "Applause," Lady Gaga has made waves by encouraging questionable practices to get the song to the top of the charts.
Last week, Mother Monster held a contest which incentivized buying multiple copies of "Applause." The 27-year-old singer told her Twitter followers that the two fans with the most "purchase/gift screenshots, radio requests, 'Applause' selfies/video" will fly internationally to meet Gaga and attend the iTunes Festival in London and watch her performance.
Gaga continued to push her fans to get "Applause" to the top of the charts last night by tweeting out a link to watch the music video to the track. While the tweet has since been deleted, Gaga originally publicized a link which allowed users to watch the video 150 times in a row.
Billboard's Bill Werde took issue with the seemingly cheap tactic to get video views, taking to Twitter to speak out against the practice. "I just hate to see anyone try to game the charts, be it fans or artists," he wrote. "It's not in the spirit of what we do, celebrating success."
Take a look at Werde's tweets on the matter below:

Inside the world of 'cammers' - amateur porn stars who work from home

RMED with a webcam, 24-year-old Nikki can make upwards of $300 for a few hours a week "camming" from the comfort of her own home.
Camming is amateur porn movie-making and it's the most recent addition to the porn industry.
All you need to make it is internet access, a web cam and, of course, a willingness to "perform" - anything from various sexual acts to simple conversations with strangers, who'll pay you.
Nikki told us that along with the money, she considers the anonymity one of the biggest advantages of camming.
"I couldn't have sex for money. Sex for me is private and personal but camming means that only the people that pay for it see it," she said.
"Customers log into the free chat area and negotiate a price. I charge around $4 a minute for a private show, which means between eight to 20 people can log on and see it. I also do exclusive shows, just one-on-one."
According to a recent article in The Daily Mail, 'camming sites' like the one Nikki works for are presenting a real threat to the world's professional porn video makers, who are estimated to be worth around $US5bn a year.

Unlike more traditional sex workers, cammers work for themselves. They're independent operators, who negotiate their own terms and can easily ban any unwanted attention. Also, aside from the exchange of credit card numbers, their clients are anonymous.
Nikki uploads her content to offshore cam' sites because, as far as she knows, it would be illegal for her to produce and market her content here. She told news.com.au there were a huge range of camming sites on offer in America and Europe, each with their own rules and regulations.
Nikki said she advises other girls interested in the industry to choose their sites wisely as each also differs in terms of how they look after the cammers. They also vary in terms of how much "cut" they take from the cammers - anything from 40 to 80 per cent.
"The first site I worked for was Free.com and I felt really exploited. Even though the policy said the site did not allow full nudity, I know there were other girls on there who agreed to do stuff like that all the time. And nobody stopped them," she said.
"The other problem was the support system. When something went wrong, I'd email the support line only to hear back in a couple of days with an automated response. When I did some research I found that that whole side of things had been moved to the Philippines," she said.
Feeling safe is a major priority. The new site Nikki works for, which she prefers not to name, offers a mentoring-type service for the cammers. Instead of the automated response, when Nikki feels uncomfortable due to unusual requests or abusive comments, she speaks directly to a real woman for help and even advice.
"She is very supportive and that makes me feel better about everything because I know she will be there and she understands what's going on," she said.
Nikki said her customers are mostly businessmen from Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide. She said their requests vary from fetishes, such as asking Nikki to pretend she was pregnant, to S-and-M bondage and humiliation.
Surprisingly, she also said that 25 per cent of her male customers just log on for a chat.
"Sometimes they'll log on and just say that they want to talk. Sometimes we talk about their sexual fantasies, it's like they need reassurance and they haven't told anyone before. Other times, I'll do a little show for them and then they want to talk about stuff that's going on in their lives," she said.
"I've had a couple of women and they are mostly doing it because it turns their husbands on to know they are watching other women online."
Dangers do exist. Nikki said she was recognised by a punter who claimed to be her ex-boyfriend.

"I thought he was kidding around but once he mentioned my suburb I told him I was going to terminate the session and I banned him," she said.
The fact that the industry remains unregulated has also meant that the sites are being swamped by people charging super low rates, leaving the more seasoned cammers such as Nikki forced to drop their prices.
"Camming is starting to get really popular because girls realise they can make quite a bit of money on their own. I know lots of people who are doing it to help them get through university and help pay the bills," she said.
"Lately I have noticed lots of couples, like married people or whatever, who are doing it as a way to make money together. I have no problem with them trying it but it makes it harder for the rest of us to charge a decent rate," she said.
Eden, 25, is part of the former group. She told news.com.au that camming was one of the only jobs she could squeeze in around her demanding university course.
"Because of my studies it varies, but I try to spend at least one night of four hours per week on there. When I'm not on holidays from university I aim for 3-4 nights per week of 4-6 hours. It can range from a very quiet night of a few hours not breaking $50 to my best night of $450," she said.
Like Nikki, Eden also appreciates the relative autonomy and level of control camming allows her to have over clients.
"My rates depend on what it is the client is after. If it's something basic and something I'm very comfortable doing then it will cost less than something that takes more time or effort, or I'm reaching the edge of my comfort zone," she said.
Both Nikki and Eden told news.com.au they see camming as a money making solution, to support their outside lives. They have both been surprised by how decent and polite most of the punters are once they're online.
That said, there are also plenty who Nikki said just waste time and try to get a performance for free.
"When I politely explain that this is not a free service, they call me a whore or something like that, or they tell me that I'm not worth paying for," she said.

Third Turkey term for Galatasaray coach Terim

Fatih Terim will take charge of Turkey for the rest of their 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, starting next month, while remaining in his role as coach of Galatasaray AŞ.

Fatih Terim has returned for a third spell as coach of Turkey following Abdullah Avcı's decision to step down earlier this week.

The 59-year-old, who will carry out the role in conjunction with his post as Galatasaray AŞ boss, has agreed a 12-month contract with the Turkish Football Federation (TFF).
Terim steered Turkey to their maiden UEFA European Championship appearance in 1996 and repeated the qualifying achievement during his second spell in charge as the side reached the semi-finals of UEFA EURO 2008.
Terim was installed as Galatasaray coach for a third time in May 2011, two years after last cutting his ties with the national team. He has since guided Cimbom to back-to-back Süper Lig titles and the quarter-finals of last season's UEFA Champions League, where their challenge was ended by Real Madrid CF.
"I would like to thank the Turkish Football Federation for the faith they have shown in me and for allowing me to carry on at Galatasaray," said Terim. "You can't escape the responsibility of leading your country. However, without team work nothing is possible. Everyone needs to pull together to help us achieve our goal. I hope to build a team that can qualify for this World Cup and more to come."
Fourth in FIFA World Cup qualifying Group D, Turkey trail the Netherlands by 11 points and second-placed Hungary by four. Terim's third tenure begins at home to Andorra on 6 September before a game in Romania four days later.

Fenerbahçe vs Arsenal Highlights

Dominant Arsenal make light work of Fenerbahçe

Kieran Gibbs, Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud earned Arsenal FC a convincing first-leg victory against Fenerbahçe SK, all but securing the Gunners a place in the UEFA Champions League group stage for the 16th successive season.

A play-off tie lacking in major incident sprung to life six minutes after the restart when Gibbs turned in his first European goal. Ramsey, on target when the English side won 5-2 here in the group stage five years ago, drove in the second after hour. A miserable night for Fenerbahçe was compounded by Giroud's 77th-minute penalty.
Arsenal soon settled into their rhythm, slowing the game down and probing for openings in an attempt to quell the raucous home supporters. Opportunities were slow to materialise, though, with an off target Giroud header the closest either side came in the first 20 minutes.
Yet, for all of the Premier League team's neat interplay, Volkan Demirel was never seriously extended in a half in which the visitors lost centre-back Laurent Koscielny to a facial injury following a high boot to the face from Moussa Sow.
Fenerbahçe, who never deviated from their game plan of getting men behind the ball before the break, started the second period positively, with Dirk Kuyt firing over from outside the penalty area.
Within two minutes, though, they were behind, Gibbs the unlikely scorer. Ramsey slipped in Theo Walcott inside the penalty area and the England international's ball across goal was gleefully swept in at the far post by the left-back.
One very nearly became two moments later when Walcott, freed by Jack Wilshere, was denied by Volkan, who then beat out the latter's shot. A second goal did arrive in the 64th minute, though, Ramsey advancing unopposed and unleashing a low shot which Volkan could only palm in.
Michal Kadlec's foul on the lively Walcott gave Giroud the chance to ice the cake and leave Fenerbahçe, who elicited two saves from Wojciech Szczęsny late on, praying for a minor miracle in London next week.
The participation of Fenerbahçe in the competition is subject to pending disciplinary and CAS proceedings.

Arsenal looking to pick up where they left off!

Arsenal FC opened their league campaign with defeat and have endured a frustrating summer on the transfer front, but there remains plenty of reason for optimism.

Arsène Wenger's team travel to Istanbul on Wednesday to take on Fenerbahçe SK in the first leg of the play-offs, seeking to take a big step towards preserving a proud record. Along with Manchester United FC (preparing for their 18th consecutive group stage) and Real Madrid CF (17th), Arsenal are one of only three teams ever-present in Europe's top club competition this century.
Wenger has been at the helm throughout as he enters his 18th season at Arsenal – his obsession, a club as close to his heart as it is his first name. Yet it has been a difficult summer, with the manager's declaration that "we will be active" in the transfer market thus far unrealised. To date the club have added only 20-year-old striker Yaya Sanogo on a free transfer from AJ Auxerre.
Crucially, though, Wenger has not had to deal with a high-profile departure either – Robin van Persie, Alex Song and Cesc Fàbregas all left over the last two summers. There is also momentum from their form at the end of last season, which Arsenal ended 11 games unbeaten, and the fact that midfield keystone Wilshere has enjoyed his first injury-free pre-season since 2010.
The England midfielder, still not 100% fit according to Wenger, is eager to make an impression. "We feel we have a great squad, as we showed towards the end of last season, when we went 11 games unbeaten," he told Sport magazine. "If we can reproduce that form then we have a chance. When we had to get results, we went out there and got them, and that's what we need to take into this season.
"Arsenal used to be a team that won everything – trophies and titles, but now we haven't won anything for eight years, so we know what we have to do. It is time to start producing trophies and being closer to the top of the league at the end of the season. We don't just want to be fighting for fourth place – we want to be up there with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United. We feel we are good enough to be there."

Yohan Cabaye:Alan Pardew unhappy at timing of Arsenal bid

unhappy at timing of Arsenal bid

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew says Arsenal's bid for midfielder Yohan Cabaye had a "huge bearing" on his side's 4-0 defeat at Manchester City.
The Gunners made a £10m bid for Cabaye on Sunday and Pardew pulled the France international, 27, out of Monday's Premier League opener.
"You prepare for three days with a player of that talent and that was taken away from us," said Pardew.
"It had a huge bearing on the result as well."
There is a question about the window being closed before we kick off the Premier League season
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew
Cabaye travelled to Manchester with the Newcastle squad before Pardew sent him back to the North East following Arsenal's offer being made public ahead of the City game.
The Magpies went on to endure a miserable time at the Etihad without one of their most influential players as they were comprehensively beaten, while centre-back Steven Taylor was also sent off.
"Why [Arsenal] couldn't do us the respect and the honour of waiting until Tuesday evening is beyond me," said Pardew.
"It is pretty obvious that I am upset about it."
Arsenal put in their bid for Cabaye following criticism over a lack of signings in the wake of a 3-1 home defeat by Aston Villa on Saturday.
Pardew is unhappy that the summer transfer window remains open after the start of the Premier League campaign and wants that changed.
"There is a question about the window being closed before we kick off the Premier League season," he said.
"I know the Premier League asked the European leagues to do it and they wouldn't fall in line.

"But after the summer we have had, the situations we have had, with Wayne Rooney as well, it is definitely something they need to put under the microscope again."

Fatih Terim 48 saat içinde...

Şansa Büyüka, Fatih Terim'e A Milli Takım'ın başına geçmesi için teklifte bulunacağını öne sü

Egypt Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohammed Badie held

Mohammed Badie

The spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, General Guide Mohammed Badie, has been arrested in Cairo, Egyptian officials say.
Reports said he was detained at a residential flat in Nasr City.
A state of emergency is in force in Egypt amid turmoil following a crackdown on Islamists in which hundreds have died.
Three days of mourning are being held for 25 police killed in Sinai by suspected Islamist militant extremists.
Almost 900 people, including more than 100 police and soldiers, are reported to have been killed in Egypt since Wednesday, when the army cleared protest camps set up by supporters of deposed President Mohammed Morsi, many of them members of the Muslim Brotherhood movement.

BUHARI: ''CONTESTING IN 2015 IS AN OBLIGATION'

Written by Bukar, Konya

Former head of state General Muhammadu Buhari has said he will run for president again as the race for 2015 general elections begins to pick up momentum.
It is “a must obligation on me,” he told a political group, the Kano State Political Movement (KSP), whose members paid him sallah homage at the weekend in Kaduna.
Buhari ran three times in the presidential contest and  lost to candidates of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.
But his party, the CPC, has just merged with two other opposition parties to challenge the dominance of the ruling PDP.
Buhari told his visitors he is being propelled to run again in the election “because of the continuous and excessive exploitation and degradation of the common man by the powers that be in this country.”
He said the struggle for the emancipation of Nigerian masses from the clutches of what he called bad leaders and bad governance “is a matter of life and death.”
General Buhari added that his knowledge of the vast wealth Nigeria is endowed with and the enormous embezzlement and extravagance by the powers that be make him to be ever resilient in looking for ways to the position of presidency, “for us to try and remedy things so that Nigerians can live well and enjoy their wealth”.
He said what is needed most under the new party, APC, is large scale enlightenment and awareness of the majority of Nigerians who are ignorant of the situation, and they are being exploited.
He said however, that the people have begun to learn through experience, due to lack of basic amenities of life, which are supposed to be provided by the government.
Speaking earlier, the KSPM chairman Alhaji Bello Isa Bayero said they were at Buhari’s residence, in order to pay Sallah homage as well as to congratulate him for the success in registering APC as full pledged political party. He re emphasized the support of Kano people to Buhari, whom he said are the foremost in supporting him and will forever remain so.

Filistinli bir hacker uyarılarını ciddiye almaması nedeniyle Facebook kurucusu Marc Zuckreberg’in sayfasını hackledi.
